Tis the season for a birthday...falalala la la la

Little B really likes his cake! More than his brother and sister he Eats the cake! Doesn't just play with it. Doesn't he look like a little boy now? For his actual Birthday, Mommy and Daddy and brother and sister went to get haircuts for the guys and then to McDonald's for their first happy meal. Then it was home for a nap and their first taste of chocolate! Chocolate birthday cake! The pictures are on their mommy's blog of that event! You couldn't tell there were faces under all that chocolate!

A future as a face painter perhaps? W eats cake like he eats sand... take a handful, head towards the face, open up the hand and smear it around trying to get it into the opening. You can't tell from this picture but the baby face has been replaced by little boy face. All due to a simple haircut!

Little R didn't change much since there was no way Mommy and Daddy were letting scissors anywhere near her hair! However, after seeing her paint her face with her cake I think makeup is a long way down the road for her! Her motto seems to be: a little is good but a lot is better! She looks so much like her mommy (before the face paint that is!)

Just one of their Many many many birthday gifts. There were lots of grandparents, 9 to be exact!, aunts, uncles, and cousins wanting to celebrate and give gifts. Just a few toys for these guys but lots of clothes, books, puzzles, and ride 'em toys.
THEY ARE ONE!! But even more than the specialness of being one year olds these three remind me of the power of prayer. I believe with my whole heart that had it not been for the prayers of friends and family, these little guys would not even be here. They wouldn't be so healthy and my daughter and son-in-law would not have the blessing of being parents. And we of being their grandparents and Auntie S. We went to the very throne of God and asked that He would do abundantly more than we could ask or pray. It became the theme verse before, during, and after the pregnancy.
